About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cloakback service. The service is provided by Stata Integrated Solutions Limited, trading as Cloakback, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15195139, VAT number 488087243).

In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Cloakback. "You" and "your" refer to the individual or entity using the service.

By engaging Cloakback or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Cloakback. By engaging us you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

The Service

Cloakback provides a digital privacy service that:

• Scans the public internet, including a curated list of data broker websites, for personal information matching keywords you provide
• Performs reverse image searches on photographs you upload
• Reports findings to you by email
• On managed plans, submits removal requests to identified websites on your behalf

The service is provided on an ongoing basis (for subscription plans) or as a one-time engagement (for the one-off plan), as described in Section 4.

Engaging Us

To engage Cloakback, you provide us with a valid email address and the information you want us to act upon. We do not currently operate a self-service customer portal; communication is handled directly between you and our team. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate, current, and complete information
• Notifying us promptly if your contact details change
• Keeping communications from us secure on your own devices

You may not engage the service on behalf of another person without their explicit consent. You may not transfer the benefit of our service to another person without our agreement.

Plans & Pricing

Cloakback offers the following plans, with all prices inclusive of VAT where applicable:

One-Off Plan — £90 single payment

A one-time, comprehensive scan of 100+ data broker sites and the wider web, with removal of identified data. No ongoing commitment; no monitoring after the initial removals are completed.

Self-Manage Plan — £6 per month

Monthly scans across data broker sites with detailed reports of all findings. You manage removal requests yourself, with our guidance.

Monitor Plan — £15 per month

Continuous monthly scanning plus we submit and manage removal requests on your behalf. Includes ongoing monitoring for new appearances.

Prices may be amended on 30 days' written notice. Existing subscriptions will continue at the original price for the remainder of the current billing period before the new price takes effect.

Payment

Payment is processed by our payment provider, Stripe. By providing payment details, you authorise us (or our processor) to charge you for the plan you have selected.

Subscription plans are billed monthly in advance from the date of sign-up and on the same date each subsequent month. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled.

One-off plans are charged in full at the point of sign-up.

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry. If payment cannot be collected after a reasonable period, we may suspend or terminate our service to you.

All payments are non-refundable except where required by law or as specifically provided in Section 6 (Cancellation).

Cancellation & Refunds

Statutory 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel and receive a full refund within 14 days of signing up, without giving a reason.

Subscription cancellation

You may cancel a subscription at any time by emailing us at support@cloakback.com. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial months.

One-off plan

The one-off plan is non-refundable once the initial scan has commenced, except as required by statute.

Your Obligations

By using the service, you confirm and agree that:

• The information you ask us to monitor relates to you personally, or you have explicit written consent from the individual(s) concerned
• Any images you upload are yours to submit — they depict you, you own them, or you have explicit consent from the person(s) depicted
• You will not upload images that depict any person under the age of 18 in any context
• You will not use the service to monitor, locate, or target any other individual without their consent
• You will provide accurate information and keep it up to date
• You will use the service only for lawful purposes

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate our service to customers who violate these obligations.

Prohibited Use

You must not use the Cloakback service to:

• Stalk, harass, surveil, or investigate any individual without their consent
• Upload or submit content depicting minors
• Upload content you do not have permission to use
• Circumvent the security of our service or attempt to gain unauthorised access
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Reverse engineer, copy, or attempt to extract our source code
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the service
• Violate any applicable law, including data protection or anti-stalking legislation

Violation of these provisions may result in immediate termination of our service to you without refund, and we may report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.

Service Limitations & No Guarantees

We will use reasonable skill and care in providing the service, but you acknowledge the following limitations:

• The internet is large and constantly changing. We cannot guarantee that we will identify every instance of your information online.
• Removal is not always possible. Some websites do not respond to removal requests, are based in jurisdictions outside our reach, or are operated maliciously. We cannot guarantee the removal of any particular item.
• Information can reappear. Data brokers and other sites may re-list your information after removal. Ongoing monitoring helps but does not eliminate this risk.
• Timescales vary. Removal requests are processed by third parties and may take days, weeks, or longer.
• Third-party content. Where we link to or contact third-party services, we are not responsible for their actions, policies, or content.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations not expressly set out in these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, business, reputation, or data
• Our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the total amount you have paid to us in that period
• We are not liable for losses arising from third parties acting outside our control, including data broker websites, search engines, or hosting platforms

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Cloakback service, website, branding, and software is owned by Stata Integrated Solutions Limited or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose during your active subscription.

You retain all rights in the keywords and images you submit to us. By submitting them, you grant us a limited licence to process them for the sole purpose of delivering the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate our service to you immediately, without refund, if you:

• Breach these Terms in a material way
• Use the service for unlawful or prohibited purposes
• Fail to pay amounts due
• Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity

Upon termination, our service to you will cease. Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request a copy of your data before termination.

We may discontinue the service in whole or in part on 60 days' written notice. In such circumstances, we will refund any pre-paid amounts covering the period after discontinuation.

Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the service.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
